Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu

I, Shahin Tabassum, am residing at No. 41/143, Thillai Nayagam Main Street, Perambur, Chennai - 11, in a rented home. I belong to a poor family and am currently the sole breadwinner after the demise of my husband in 2005. I earn a meager income by doing household work, which is barely sufficient to meet our basic needs.

Alhamdulillah, my elder daughter, aged 24, is now of marriageable age, and her Nikkah has been fixed for 26.12.2024, In Sha Allah. However, due to my extremely limited income and the lack of financial support from other sources, I am unable to bear the expenses of her Nikkah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“When a man gives his daughter in marriage, Allah grants him the reward of freeing a slave.”

Despite my efforts to keep the arrangements minimal, I am struggling to meet even the essential costs for my daughter’s Nikkah. 

I earnestly request the kind-hearted donors and supporters of India Zakat to come forward and assist me in this noble cause. Helping to facilitate a marriage is a highly rewarding act in the sight of Allah (SWT), and your generous contributions can ease my burden and ensure that my daughter’s Nikkah is conducted with dignity.

May Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly in both this world and the Hereafter, multiply your blessings, and grant barakah in your wealth and family.
