A Lifeline for Shakil: Supporting His Battle Against Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Assalamualaikum wr wb!  

I am writing to share the story of Mr. Shakil Sarang, a 45-year-old man who is bravely fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a life-threatening condition. Shakil’s only hope for a cure is an Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant, for which his HLA-matched sibling is ready to donate. However, the estimated cost of the treatment, including the procedure and hospital stay, is approximately Rs. 30 lakhs—a sum that is far beyond his family’s means.  

Shakil is currently undergoing treatment at Jaslok Hospital, a renowned medical facility, but the financial burden of this life-saving procedure is overwhelming. His family has exhausted all their resources and is now turning to the kindness and generosity of the community for support. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring Shakil closer to receiving the treatment he desperately needs to survive and return to a healthy life.  

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Whoever relieves a believer’s hardship in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection.” By supporting Shakil, you are not only saving a life but also earning immense blessings.
