Siddharth Nagar is counted as one of the most backward districts in the country (As per the latest data released by Niti Aayog, GOI). This district has a significant Muslim population & the majority of them are below the poverty line. Most of its villages have no access to basic Schooling. & this makes it even worse for the future development of the living conditions of people in the district.

200 km away from state capital Lucknow & 55 Kms. from Basti Railway Station there is a remote town Harijot in the Tehsil Dumriyaganj. This is a predominantly Muslim Populated village with no basic facilities. I, Maulana Mazhar Aleemi of the village, work in Mumbai to support my family, took an unprecedented initiative & established a small School four years ago to provide Modern as well as Religious education to Muslim children of surrounding villages. The name of the School is Cape Town Public School.


Currently, we have 250 students studying in the School, coming from a very humble background. The childrens’ Parents are mostly daily wage agricultural labourers, weavers, drivers, mill workers, electrician, Kirana store owners, etc, with big dreams & hope for their kids.

As of now, the School Building is half complete due to a lack of funds & has around 12 rooms currently. Although the fees of the School is merely Rs. 200 per month, more than half of the students are unable to pay their fees due to Poverty. Besides this;

• The students struggle for basic uniforms & books.
• There are no tables & chairs in the School.
• The School building has no proper flooring & no basic infrastructure required for a full-fledged School.
• The school is currently run with the help of well-wishers & donors like yourself.

Since our students come from very humble backgrounds, we cannot ask for donations from parents like other schools do. We require support from Donors & Well-wishers like you to meet the project cost. With the help of donors & well-wishers, we have been able to enhance the learning experience of students by imparting computer education, use of tablets, English lab & SMART Class.
