إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتُ لِلْفُقَرَآءِ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَٱلْعَـٰمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَٱلْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَٱلْغَـٰرِمِينَ وَفِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۖ فَرِيضَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler – an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

If the applicant is not Zakat eligible but is a needy person, then the Cause is accordingly designated as non-Zakat based.

Alhamdulillah, unlike other crowd-funding platforms IndiaZakat.com doesn’t charge any commission or fees to the applicants or do the Donors. The entire operations are run fee-sabilillah and the salary and admin expenses are completely borne by Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP).

IndiaZakat.com is an initiative of Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), a Section 8 Co. registered under the Companies Act of 2013. AMP has provisional certification for 12A & 80G and thus Donors are eligible for Tax exemption under Section 80G of IT Act.
