Shamima is a fatherless girl and the sole breadwinner for her family. She is getting married on October 22nd at a local masjid. Her relatives and friends are supporting her marriage financially, but it is not enough to cover all the basic expenses. They are in need of zakat to help manage the costs of the wedding.

Hadith:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever helps a fatherless girl get married, it is as if he has freed a slave." (Sunan Ibn Majah)

This hadith shows the importance of helping fatherless girls get married, and it is a great reminder of the rewards that await those who do so. Zakat is one of the best ways to help Samima and her family, and it is a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that will continue to benefit them even after they are gone.
