I am Rahim Khan, a father from Mumbai, holding on to hope as I watch my daughter Zofiya suffer in unbearable pain. For the last 5 years, she has been fighting a rare and painful condition — Transverse Myelitis, which has completely damaged the nerves in both her legs. She is unable to walk, and now, due to bedsores and infections, she is at risk of losing her leg.
Doctors have installed a vacuum infection machine, but each one costs ₹10,000 and needs regular replacement. The total treatment cost is ₹2 lakhs, which I simply cannot afford. I work as a driver, and all my savings are exhausted. We have been battling illness after illness for 7 years, and I am now mentally, physically, and financially broken. But I cannot give up on my innocent daughter.
