My name is Zubair Sahin. I am a 14-year-old student studying in Class IX in an English medium school. I lost my beloved father to COVID-19 in 2021. Since that day, life has not been the same for my mother and me. He was an accountant by profession and the sole breadwinner of our family. With his passing, our home was filled not only with grief, but with silence, uncertainty, and financial hardship.

My mother, who is unwell, tries her best to look after me despite her sickness. But we have no source of income. Every day is a struggle – not only for food and medicine, but for my education too. My father and mother had many dreams for me – they wanted me to be well-educated, to stand on my feet with dignity, and to be a source of support for others in need one day. My father's last wish was to see me educated and successful.

As an English medium student, it is difficult for me to shift to another school or change my medium of education, as it would affect my learning and future drastically. I have always tried to maintain good grades and work hard in school, even with the pain and pressure at home.

I am now turning to you – my brothers and sisters in the Ummah – to ask for your help and compassion. Your small support can help me continue my education and allow my father's dream to live on through me. I want to become someone who not only helps my mother and family but serves my community and my Deen.
