Sadik Shaikh, 34, is a devoted father & the sole breadwinner for his family. He has spent his life working tirelessly as a glass cutter, facing hazardous conditions every day to provide for his loved ones. Over the years, this work has taken a terrible toll on his health, severely damaging his lungs. Today, he struggles to breathe even with the support of an oxygen machine, and simple tasks like walking or talking leave him exhausted.

Sadik’s condition has reached a critical stage, and the only hope to save his life is a lung transplant. The surgery is complex and requires extensive post-operative care, including:

• 14 days in the ICU Isolation Ward with critical care support such as ventilators, oxygen, and physiotherapy

• Cadaver lung organ procurement and processing, including the organ preservative solution

• Operation theatre charges for a surgery that can last up to 12 hours

• Routine investigations: blood tests, radiology, and blood components (₹5,78,500)

• Drugs and OT consumables: ₹12,50,000

The total cost of this life-saving surgery is ₹35 lakh, a sum far beyond the means of Sadik’s family. Without this treatment, his life is at serious risk, and his family faces the devastating possibility of losing their only provider.
