My name is Mumtaz, and I am the mother of Baby Rahman, my 19-month-old son who is fighting for his life at Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore.
My little Rahman has been diagnosed with Neonatal Cholestasis Syndrome, and the doctors suspect biliary atresia, which has now led to severe liver failure. The doctors have told us that the only way to save his life is through an urgent liver transplant.
I have come forward to donate a part of my liver to save my child, but the cost of the transplant is ₹20 lakhs (₹2,000,000). We are a very poor family, my husband works as a two-wheeler mechanic, earning just enough for our daily needs. Over the last four months, we have taken many loans for Rahman’s medical treatment, and now we have nothing left.
My heart breaks to see my baby suffer every day, and as a mother, I feel helpless. I am reaching out to you, my brothers and sisters in faith, to please help us.
Please, I beg you to help us with your Zakat, Sadaqah, or any small contribution. Your kindness can bring my baby back to life and give us hope once again.
