Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, Dear donors

I am writing this appeal as a daughter who is afraid of losing her father.

My father, Mohammed Akhlaq Hussain, is a kind and hardworking school teacher. He was the only earning member of our family. Because of him, my sibling and I could study, one of us is in college and the other in 10th grade. 

On 23rd January 2023, our lives changed completely. Due to high blood pressure, my father suffered a brain stroke. The left side of his body became fully paralyzed, and he had to undergo a craniotomy (brain) surgery. After the surgery, he could not walk, move, or even care for himself. Seeing our strong father in this condition broke our hearts.

Because of our poor financial condition, we were unable to afford proper treatment. With great difficulty, we admitted him to Shyamkala Rehabilitation Center. By Allah’s mercy, after 3 months of rehabilitation, my father has recovered about 40% and can now stand on his feet. This small progress has given us great hope.

Doctors have clearly said that he needs at least 6 months of continuous rehabilitation to recover further and become independent again. Sadly, we can only afford half of the treatment. The monthly cost is ₹30,000, which is impossible for us to arrange as my father is still sick and unable to earn.

My father does not want to depend on others forever. He wants to walk again, teach again, and take care of his family with dignity. Without continued treatment, his recovery may stop.

I humbly request you, as my brothers and sisters in Islam, to help us through your Zakat, Sadaqah, or Lillah. Your support can help my father complete his treatment and give our family a chance to stand on our feet again.
