Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, Dear donors

My name is Mohammed Mustafa. I am a Hafiz-e-Qur’an & a graduate in Educational Psychology. I was serving as an Imam, but I had to voluntarily step away from this responsibility because I could no longer perform Sajdah (prostration) due to severe pain. Since then, I have been teaching the Qur’an online to support my family.

In the year 2021, I was infected with COVID-19. To save my life, doctors administered heavy doses of steroids. Alhamdulillah, I recovered from COVID, but after two years, serious side effects began to appear. The blood supply to my hip bones stopped, and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Avascular Necrosis, a painful condition that has left me unable to walk or work for the past three years.

Today, the pain has become unbearable. Doctors have advised urgent Total Hip Replacement Surgery, which costs approximately ₹9,00,000, including 7 days of hospital stay. So far, ₹3,00,000 has been arranged, but a significant amount is still required. Without this surgery, my hip bones may collapse completely, leaving me permanently bedridden.

Reason for the higher surgery cost:
Doctors have strongly recommended using high-quality prosthetic implants that are designed to last 25–30 years. The implants commonly available in government hospitals last only 7–10 years, which would mean undergoing hip replacement surgery every 8–10 years, possibly 3–4 major surgeries over my lifetime.

The better-quality prosthetics will reduce the risk of repeated surgeries and will also allow me to perform sujood on the floor and, InshaAllah, resume my duties as an Imam or Mudarris in the future. For this reason, doctors have advised this option despite the higher cost.

I humbly appeal to my Muslim brothers and sisters to come forward and help me during this difficult test from Allah. Your support can give me a second chance at life, to walk again, to work again, and to live with dignity.

Due to financial constraints, my surgery has been delayed and is now being planned for 22nd March 2026, after the month of Ramadan, InshaAllah.
