Imoportant Information:

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) established the AMP Zakat Fund in 2013 to empower the lives of underprivileged Muslims by promoting Education & Self-Employment. The principles of Collective Zakat are used so a Zakat Seeker can be transformed into a Zakat Giver.  So far, we have collected and disbursed Zakat up to Rs. 12.44 Crores+ Crores thus impacting 14,372 Beneficiaries, Alhamdulillah!

Through AMP Zakat Fund, we have been working relentlessly towards supporting Orphans’ & Poor children' Education for the past 12 years now. So far we have supported 2376 Orphans & Poor Children for their Basic Education and tried to bring a positive change in their lives, Alhamdulillah!

HOW TO DONATE:
You can donate in the following way;

  • Select an Orphan from the list provided above
  • Donate by clicking on the ‘Donate Button' at the top of this page
  • Mention the name of the Orphan in the ‘Comments’ section on the Donation page.

 

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Orphans/Poor children are on-boarded through referrals from;
    - Schools, Colleges, Madrasas & other institutions
    - AMP Network or Local/Community NGOs and members
    - Other referrals

  2. Each Orphan/Poor child that is on-boarded to the project is thoroughly verified through the respective AMP Chapter team.
  3. Parallelly, new donors will be on-boarded to the project by means of word-of-mouth, marketing through social media, AMP events, portals, & all possible means to spread the word about this project.
  4. Orphans/Poor children will be matched to their respective Donor/s if the Donor/s chooses to donate/contribute for a complete year or more.
  5. If there are no donors available & we have no extra funds available, we will put the child on the waiting list & make the donor-child match when the next donor is on- board.
  6. On a periodic basis, we will send reminders to all donors on their sponsorship due amounts via phone, email, SMS, or message.
  7. When the donated amount reaches the child, our team member will immediately inform the donor, confirming the same.
  8. We will also keep them updated on their growth & progress reports.
  9. On a timely basis, we will publish the project reports so that the donor is well-informed & transparency is maintained.
  10. At times, a donor may want to reduce/increase the number of children sponsored or the amount to be donated, which will be facilitated by our team.

 

OBJECTIVES:

  1. The goal is to maintain zero waiting lists for children & donors, i.e., continuous onboarding of children as well as donors.

  2. We plan to run this program in multiple regions and states of India, onboarding more children & donors simultaneously.

  3. To maintain 100% transparency with Donors

 

INNOVATIVE APPROACH:

  1. Freedom for donors to connect with orphan or poor children directly based on the level of sponsorship selected, the children’s location, and their background.
  2. Vetting of Orphan/Poor Children through AMP Chapter Team/Volunteers in 200+ cities.
  3. Registered & responsible donors can approach the operations team to know the details of the project at any time.

 

Question 1: 
Where is the list of students for whom you want support?

Answer 1:
You may review the currently listed student profiles directly in the cause section. As the campaign grows, updated details of beneficiaries will continue to be made available.

You can also check the Previous Year's Beneficiary Lists updated in same cause and on same link (Spreadsheet)

However, it is important to understand the academic cycle:
The majority of student applications are received when the new academic year begins. That is when financial pressure peaks and dropout risk increases significantly.

At present, applications are limited — but numbers will increase substantially at the start of the academic session.

We are working toward making the tracking system more comprehensive and structured, In sha Allah, as the campaign scales.
Our goal is:

✔ Operational efficiency
✔ Shariah-compliant distribution
✔ Real-time impact reporting (as feasible)

Question 2:
How are disbursements done?

Answer 2:
Funds are disbursed directly to institutions or service providers wherever applicable, ensuring proper utilisation. We remain committed to accountability and are always open to genuine queries.


Transparency in disbursement is a priority for us. Every case listed on IndiaZakat goes through document verification, reference checks, Masjid/Imam Reference, and eligibility screening before being approved for support.

Due to privacy and dignity considerations, we do not publicly disclose complete personal details of students. However, each campaign includes verified documentation and relevant information for donors to review.

* All Zakat-eligible orphan and needy student profiles are listed within the official campaign cause.
* Applications are verified before approval.
* Funds are disbursed only to eligible students.
* The list of supported students is updated regularly.


Question 3:
How Applications are invited and how Students are selected?

Answer 3:
Funds are mobilised first under a structured programme framework.

Once the academic cycle begins and admissions open;
1) We formally invite applications from eligible students across all over India
2) We also invite applications through all our partner institutions specially our NTS Exam Centre Partners 

Each application then goes through a detailed documentation review and verification process before approval and disbursement.

Our intention is to plan responsibly and respond to genuine needs in an organised, transparent, and accountable manner.
