Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, Dear donors

My name is Md Farid, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart. My father, Shakeel Ahmad, is fighting Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

For the past two years, our home has turned into a hospital room. I have spent countless sleepless nights beside my father, making dua and hoping for his recovery.

Both My Parents Are Cancer Patients

Our test did not begin with my father. My mother is also fighting colorectal cancer and is receiving treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She has already gone through surgery and chemotherapy.

Watching both my parents suffer at the same time is something no child is prepared for.

My Father’s Critical Condition

In August 2023, my father was diagnosed with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma. Due to a shortage of beds, we waited three months before admission. His condition worsened, and we had to admit him to Max Super Speciality Hospital, where he received chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

In just 12 days, the hospital bill came to ₹7,50,000. We borrowed money from relatives to save him. Later, his treatment continued again at AIIMS.

So far:

• 120+ chemotherapy sessions have been completed

• He receives 4 sessions every month

• Each session costs ₹20,000 (₹1,00,000 per month)

• Medicines are not provided by the hospital — we must buy them ourselves

Due to heavy chemotherapy, he developed serious side effects and even had to undergo cataract surgery in both eyes.

His hemoglobin remains dangerously low. He cannot walk properly. Doctors have clearly said:

A Bone Marrow Transplant Is His Only Hope

The estimated cost of the transplant is ₹15,00,000.

We have already spent between ₹13–17 lakhs on treatment. We have no savings left. We are in debt. There is no steady income in our home anymore.

Without this transplant, my father may not survive.

A Humble Appeal to the Muslim Community

Dear brothers and sisters, Allah tests whom He loves. Today, our family is going through one of the hardest tests of our lives.

Your sadaqah, zakat, or any support can become a means of shifa for my father and reward for you in the Hereafter.
