In the small town of Toranagallu, Bellary (Karnataka), Madrasa Fathimatuz Zuhra Lil Banat (Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat) stands as a shelter of mercy for 13 orphan girls and 12 financially struggling girls. These children have faced hardships at a very young age,  some have lost their fathers, while others come from families unable to afford even basic necessities. For them, this madrasa is more than a classroom; it is their home, their protection, and their hope.

Under the care of a dedicated Aalima and the sincere leadership of Secretary Sadiq Basha Saab, these 25 girls are being nurtured with Islamic values, discipline, and dignity. Despite limited means, the madrasa ensures they receive food, shelter, clothing, and religious education.

These girls are not just students,  they are future torchbearers of Deen. Currently, they are striving to become:

* Aalima-e-Fazila (Islamic scholars)
* Hafiz-e-Qur’an (memorizers of the Holy Qur’an)
* Practicing young Muslimahs with strong Akhlaq and Haya
* Educated daughters who will guide future generations

In today’s generation, Islamic education is more important than ever. With increasing moral challenges and distractions, our daughters need strong foundations in Qur’an and Sunnah to protect their faith and identity.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Ibn Majah)

Currently, only a few nearby shops contribute Zakat totaling ₹7,000 per month. This small amount is insufficient to manage monthly groceries, rent, electricity, water bills, medical expenses, and other essentials. Many expenses remain pending, yet Sadiq Basha Saab continues to carry the responsibility with patience and trust in Allah.

These orphan girls have already suffered the pain of loss. Let them not suffer neglect.
