Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) realizing its duty towards Community welfare, the potential of a properly organized Zakat disbursement & also how Zakat can be effectively utilized to bring out the Community from the throes of misery had established AMP Zakat Fund in 2013 to empower lives of our people by promoting education & self-employment. AMP Higher Education Scholarship fund is aimed towards enabaling each & every capable c&idate to pursue his dream. We believe that none of Muslim borther or sister should drop out because of poor financial conditions.
AMP have been working relentesly towards supporting of Higher Education, Orphan Support & Self Employment from the past 7 years. We have helped 425 families till date by AMP Self Employment & Empowerment Program. Many of these were helpless individuals, widow women, elderly aged parents or an orphan young guy, who has lost all the hopes of running their family. For them all the doors seemed to be closed & they did not have initial capital to start anything of their own. AMP will support the initial capital expenditure of such families by providing a support of maximum upto Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thous&) per family to start a business & earn his/her own livelihood. Through this endeavor AMP firmly hopes that today’s zakat seeker becomes tomorrow’s zakat giver.
AMP Zakat Fund now aims to undergo transformation to the next level for a pan-India appeal & reaching out to more needy Muslims. This will ensure that the Fund will spread its reach to every city, town & village in India & will touch more lives in the years to come inshaAllah!
